A Blast From the Past, California-Style!

I have been to California a few times. We went to Disneyland when I was little, then I went several times in high school... twice to Magic Mountain with my youth groups, once to Knotts Berry Farm.
I am excited to go with Ryan someday. We'll go to the beach, of course, but I'm really excited to see northern California... specifically the Redwoods.
In the meantime though, a few more happy old pictures from my past. I still have quite a few of these to share and am having trouble not putting them all up at once!

Huntington Beach, circa 2005.

My favorite Disneyland ride, Splash Mountain!
(Not to be confused with SPACE Moutnain. I whacked my head on the back of my seat during a bumpy part and lost my gum into someone's hair. =[ I hated Space Mountain)

Disneyland! We were so excited!
Also, check out our pro over-all poses. We were wicked cool kids for sure.

  1. I rode Space Mountain at Disneyworld for the first (and only) time in 6th grade. I felt like I was going to fly out of my seat. My brother was with me, and while I was crying from terror, he was laughing at me.

    Yeah... never again.

    1. Ha ha, it's definitely the worst ride there! I bounced around like crazy and really hurt my head, pretty sure I thought I'd fly out too!

  4. So cute! It's so fun to reminisce by pulling out old albums. I always get a chuckle at the style of clothes I wore in the 90's. I thought (and still do) that my older sister Tonya was the epitome of girly-coolness. She was a cheerleader and had braces in high school so my middle school self tried to mimic her... I had a retainer that I wore ALL the time (even though I didn't have to) and I tried out for cheer but didn't make the squad .. . I was stuck in Pom Pom instead. Haha! ~ Naples Sara

    1. Eh, I can believe it. For how much I love to travel people are always shocked by how many things I haven't seen! It'll happen eventually! =]

I've never been to California however I would love to go someday. I hope everything is going well on your end.

    2. Oh my.. I forgot to include the Disney Cruise Ship! But that is a little too expensive. $1500+ per person for a 4 night cruise?! Crazy!!
