Today is March 1st which means there are exactly two months until my due date! Ryan is still convinced baby will get here on my birthday (April 29th) so if he's right we're already past the two month mark. My mom thinks it'll be here April 30th and I think I'll be pacing the hallway waiting for Ryan to get out of his last final to get me up to the hospital on May 6th.
Any guesses?
The Love Dare is a 40-day marriage challenge, the same one seen in the movie Fireproof. I am personally a little more traditional in my views on marriage so I really liked it and saw it to be quite beneficial.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was just as awesome as everyone said it would be. I am so sad the series is over! At least I know I still have two great movies left!
My first link is not at all travel-related. Check out my March special cause, Tara. She is battling acute myeloid leukemia and sure could use your help! Even one dollar is one more than she had so please consider making a donation! Tara's cause was brought to my attention by my cousin. If you have a special cause you'd love to see featured one month, feel free to send it my way!

I love Christine's blog and I really liked this post on moving to a new city. Great tips for anyone wanting to just go for it!

Taras and Amanda also have an awesome travel blog. You should check out the whole blog, but I definitely loved their night spent at Up Up Lookout in Montana and this post of it might even be better than the first!

For those who aren't aware, my husband is a mechanic. He recently learned about the Volvo Powertrain plant in Maryland and is pretty excited to check it out someday!

Katie's birthday afternoon out in Columbus, Ohio is so fun and artsy!

The Barstows share a bit of Texas I've never seen with their trip to Palo Duro Canyon.

I am still looking for guest posters for several states for my 50 Nifty United States series. If you live in, have lived in, or have ever visited one of the remaining available states would you consider writing about it for me?

Last, a few Hotels.com affiliate links in case you were inspired to plan a trip of your own!

I hope you're not pacing and waiting for him to get out of his final - that would be the worst! Thanks for sharing our link :)
ReplyDeletePart of me hopes we already have a baby by then... but then part of me hopes that IS the case so we don't have to worry about calling the school while I'm in labor!
DeleteOne book I'm in the middle of is called The 4 Seasons of Marriage. It's Christian based, but I just ignore the Jesus stuff and so far like the book! I'm about a 1/4 of the way through, but I think it's one you might like if you liked The Love Dare. It was free on Amazon (though not anymore =( ) so maybe I can send it to you somehow? I plan on reading his book The 5 Love Languages next, I've heard great things about it!
ReplyDeleteBlogs like Christine's sometimes make me wish I was single, didn't want babies, and didn't want to be a doctor. I would so love to be in her shoes for a while!
And HOLY COW. i cannot believe how beautiful the lookout tower is! i thought it would be a little shanty, but those windows! Amazing.
I haven't heard of that one but it sounds like one I'd be interested in! I also read the 5 Love Languages and really liked it. I think there was quite a bit of Christianity in that one too, if I remember, but the premise is just that we all feel loved by different things and I think it's still really helpful even for people who don't believe!
DeleteIt's funny because Christine posted recently about how sometimes she gets really envious when she sees other peoples' blogs/photos and they have happy little families. The grass is always greener, right?
And I know, isn't it awesome?! I wish we'd done that while in Montana, and also Glacier Park. Check out their posts on that, jeez!
